So i've been working for several years and i always wondered why do ppl need a job?
Couldn't we just live like those old time when jobs weren't everything. Later it came to my mind, we all work for a better life.
To define a better life, i think of an ability to buy things u want, posh stuff etc. Of course they come with a price. Recently, however, i started working as a teacher and ironically i never thought this job would eventually teach me money is not everything.
Hell yes the pay is good but what i meant occurred to me last night. I was surfing the net as usual then my mobile beeped, "1 message received" blinked on the screen. Touched on the screen and i found one of my student's message. She wrote about how she could finally confidently talk to a foreigner in English after years of studying. Above all things, she thanked me... ME? Of all her teachers, she thanked me?
I'm not sure how could i describe those kinda feelings whenever a student tells me that.
It's some sorta happiness you can never buy outta a store anywhere. To my student, if u happen to read this blog (which i guess u don't), you have no idea how a little message of yours could bring me this huge happiness. It's not just you who thanked me, i also wanna say THANK YOU too.
Thanks for giving me an experience even a billionaire can't buy.
